The app that I chose to review is called VSCO!
There are pros and cons to this app!
Pros:
- Free
- Easy to use
- Can follow people and get ideas from them
- Has great editing tools
- Can edit as many photos as you like
Cons:
- Have to buy a membership to get more choices of editing tools
- Doesn’t do as much editing as some other apps
- More of a social media aspect such as instagram. It is not purely set around just editing photos
- Mostly girls use it and it makes boys not want to download it
- Wish it explained more in depth about each editing tool and what it does
The article that I thought really helped me become a better photographer was “5 pieces of advice every new photographer should know”

I really liked this article because it helps and shows what new photographers should focus on and how to help them become very good photographers.
The article listed 5 points and advice to which photographers should focus on.
The first point being to Ignore the market. When you get a camera for your first time don’t spend an absurd amount of money on it, get one that is nice and does the job! Get use to your camera and don’t fall for the upgrades and the need to buy a new one.

The second point being learn from others. Learn from your friends, family, and professors about photography they don’t have to be experts in it to help you. Anyone can help! You can also learn through peoples mistakes and understand why they made the mistake and make sure you don’t do the same.
The third point is give yourself a project. When you give yourself a project your work becomes more meaningful to you. You will tend to take more time getting great photos and taking your time instead of rushing to get a photo. You put more effort in your project.
The fourth is publish your own work. It is very hard to become published and there are a lot of people competing to be published in books or magazines. So this article recommends that you get out there yourself and publish your own work, make a name for yourself!

Finally the fifth point this article states is hold on to your love. This means that at times, things will get very tough and you have to work through it just like anything in life. You have to think to yourself when you are discouraged or frustrated, why you started photography in the first place and what made you fall in love with it. Never forget that you love photography and that love will never go away.
I thought that this whole article had a lot of great information in it and that it really helped me as a new photographer with tips and pointers and I hoped it helped others as well!
